I’m Melody, a Canadian-Persian-American blogger living in Los Angeles – beautiful Culver City, to be exact – and pouring my heart into making new creations in the kitchen. The Shireen & Savory blog is about relishing the everyday, sweet and not-so-sweet moments in life. I’ll be sharing food-related posts & recipes, plus some everyday life moments. Lately, I’ve been marinating over healthy and hearty recipes, and modern Persian cuisine. I only mince garlic (never words), and I hope you’ll allow me to whisk you away as I serve up my favorite recipes and show you around the LA food scene!

For those of you with a curious palate, “Shireen” means “sweet” in Farsi. And its also my middle name! So, yes, I suppose it’s true that sweet’s my middle name. What can I say: puns are my jam.
